MUSIC PROGRAM
Students may receive approximately thirty minutes per week instruction in music fundamentals.

GUIDANCE COUNSELOR AND COUNSELING CENTER

Services include counseling through classroom presentations, groups, and individualcounseling

GOVERNANCE TEAM/SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

Parents must elect members to the School Site Council (SSC) and the Site Governance Team.

SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

The School Site Council is a requirement of all Schools that receive title1 funding. This committee works closely with the governance team. The SSC has ten members. The law requires that seven of the members be Rosa Parks' parents, who do not work at Rosa Parks School, and are elected by parents. Their peers elect the staff member representatives. The SSC is responsible for over seeing the school's Annual Action Plan and makes decisions regarding budget and compliance items for the School Improvement and Title I programs.

SITE GOVERNANCE TEAM

is composed of parents, community and staff members. An election is held in September to elect Site Governance Team members. For more information on becoming a member ofthe team please contact the site principal.
